Every summer I have a list of activities in my mind that seem like summer essentials. Movies in the park, cookouts, swimming, etc. Sometimes we actually get to check things off the list and sometimes we don’t. We happened to have a day where neither of us were working or had other obligations so despite the scorching heat we headed over to the gardens at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, better known as the IMA. The Beard had his camera in tow and I had my hat.

The gardens were beautiful! I could sit listening to the water gurgle and watch the fish swim for hours if it hadn’t been for the cascade of sweat pouring down my face!

The greenhouse was filled with every color you can imagine!

I even managed to snap a picture of The Beard in his natural habitat.

After exploring all the grounds we needed sustenance and what pairs best with an afternoon of greenery? Burgers of course! We decided to try out a new place to us called Burgerhaus. Oh man! I’m not one to typically order a burger but I ate every bite of the Tuscan.

As always I love any time we can spend together! Date Days, even if they are just grocery shopping and cooking dinner together, are important and I’m thankful to be blessed with such a wonderful partner! So I challenge you to set a “date” to do something with your significant other this week!
